The International Rice Research Institute has been recognized by Excellence
Through Stewardship (ETS) for their successful completion of the ETS Global
Audit Process. ETS is a global not-for-profit organization that promotes the
universal adoption of stewardship programs and quality management systems
for the full life cycle of agricultural technology products. According to
IRRI's Director General, Matthew Morrell, the recognition strengthens the
position of IRRI as a global leader in transgenic research management.

"IRRI's work protects the health of rice farmers and consumers, and the
environmental sustainability of rice farming in a world challenged by
climate change. IRRI's work promotes the empowerment of women and support
opportunities for youth in an equitable agri-food system," stated by ETS in
their news release.
