Recent meeting of Russian and Belarusian authorities resulted in a
decision to continue works on transgenic animals.
In case cooperation agreement is signed, parties will seek for
funding. Transgenic hordes would be kept in special farm. Transgenic animals
will produce milk with medical human proteins, which will be extracted and
used as treatment for various diseases. First human protein to appear in
goat milk is lactoferrin, human milk protein, which is a strong
antibacterial and anti-inflammatory agent.
